Point
The Project:
Our assignment for today was to create a design consisting of 20 points in a grid, to see how we could manipulate them into an image. You can say I was in a sticky situation (hehe get it? because it's gum .... okay dad jokes are over) trying to decide what points I should photograph. For this project, I wanted to capture common points that we see every day but not pay particularly any attention to at all. As I was walking to grab a bite, I happened to look down at a black spot of gum on the sidewalk and realized. "THIS IS IT!" I instantly fell in love with the different textures of the concrete and unique shape of each discarded piece of gum. After creating a grid of black spots, I wanted to find a more practical use for this new image. I mean it is stepped on gum after all. Below you will see some photoshopped applications of just some of the possibilities of this design.
