Micro and Macro project

This week we worked with the concept of micro and macro. The concept itself-goes into a lot of science of magnification ratios and camera sensors. In Layman's terms, macro photography is a close up 1:1 scale of the subject while on the other hand microphotography is much closer up making the image seem much larger than life. Me being a camera/film dork I love this kind of work. If you like me and want to have a more thorough explanation of micro/macro, please read this article.

For my project, I wanted to take our assignment of nature micro/macro and take it a step further. I decided to work instead with the concept of human nature. I have macro shots of flowers and nature surrounding the main subject and more micro/zoomed in shots of the human body. I chose to keep the nature aspect in a dimmed black and white to focus that humans complexity far transcends what most people perceive as nature. (i.e., the limited view that plants and animals are what nature makes up the concept of nature)

And yall know me I can not just leave it at one picture. I decided to incorporate the images of my model Diego into other commercial design opportunities. My idea surrounding the designs was primarily used for advertising but could have so many other implications.
