Saul Bass: The man behind the title sequence

At the start of the quarter we were assigned to pick a designer and then develop a presentation to share with the class. I wanted to choose a designer that had background in great films. I immediately thought of one man, Saul Bass. The man who quite literally changed the way we viewed the first few minutes of a film. Bass was a designer of the early 50's who created posters for many famous films such as, Vertigo, Psycho, The Man With a Golden Arm, Westside story, and many more. Below is a slideshow of some of Saul's most famous works.
